Your Desk is Your Mac with iDesk

Desktop computers get their name from their stationary position on a desk – but now several design concepts turn the desk itself into your computer.  Microsoft’s Surface puts Windows on a table-PC, but those who prefer to run the iOS way just have to hope that Apple comes out with something as stunning as the iDesk Concept.

Designed and rendered by Adam Benton, the iDesk syncs with iOS devices placed on it, features a trackpad anywhere you want, and replaces your physical calendar, phone, and Post-It notes with their digital versions.  It would also allow you to arrange files and documents as if they were physical paper on a traditional desk – without ever overwhelming your workspace with clutter.

With its interactive features and Apple-inspired sense of style, the iDesk is only a concept now – but one we would love to see make it to the market (and, eventually, an affordable price).
