iGame: Is Apple Planning a Gaming Console?

If you’re not completely satisfied with your current gaming options, Apple just might have your back.  One of the company’s latest revealed patent applications pictures an iPhone-style device working with and possibly even functioning as a standard game console controller.

This doesn’t necessarily mean Apple is changing course to take on the gaming industry full force (though the concept of an Apple-designed console is intriguing at the least).  But this patent application that links iOS devices with televisions and game systems could be a strong hint at the mythical Apple entertainment system we keep hearing about.
