We’ve already told you about “Puppy Tweets,” the device that humorously lets your favorite pooch speak his mind – but unlike that just-for-fun device, the Dog Caller could actually save a life. Combining a SIM card and a thermistor, it sends you a text alert when the collar reaches 80 degrees Fahrenheit – letting you know your dog is getting too hot.
Although leaving your pet in a car or just outside on a hot day is never a good idea, the Dog Caller would at least give you some warning when you needed to run an errand or are taking the dog for a walk in the summer. The Dog Caller is still in development for now, but is expected to be available in 2013 for around $20.
