In recent years, we’ve moved way beyond having to actually call and place an order for pizza. Now, we can go online, make all our selections, and not even talk to a single human being! We can even sit and watch a little progress bar in hungry anticipation. But, even going online to order can sometimes take some time. The problem is we’re hungry now! We can’t take 5 minutes to place an order.
Thankfully, Dominos is looking out for you. Announced on Tuesday, Dominos will now be accepting a new way of ordering and all it takes is one little picture. Don’t worry. You don’t have to take a picture of your hungry face or your empty fridge. Instead, all you have to do is tweet the pizza emoji to Dominos and VIOLA, pizza shows up at your door!
Now, despite how magically delicious Dominos pizza might be, they are not magic and can’t read your mind. So, the whole tweet ordering system takes a little more set-up than just randomly tweeting pizza emojis at them. In order to make the system work, you have to create a profile on Domino’s Easy Order system. You’ll register your twitter handle, mostly likely specify what type of pizza you want, and probably select and add other important details like payment info and the location closest to you. At that point, you can then start tweeting your emoji or just tweeting at Domino’s with the hashtag #easyorder. You’ll then get a direct message back confirming your order and you’re all set!
Currently, this system isn’t actually up and running quite yet. The Tweet to Order won’t be available until May 20th, so until then you’ll just have to order the old-fashioned way. But, don’t feel like you need to start tweeting for pizza every night, because this new way of ordering is permanent!
